The Middle School Girls Basketball Team is focused on team building, cohesion and fundamental skills. Only 4 girls are returning from last season and we have a new coaching staff. The coaches will be looking to these returning athletes to be both mentors and leaders. One way to build friendships and camaraderie is to travel to our away games together. However, team transportation costs are quite an expense for our small team. Extra time together while traveling to away games will give these girls the ability to build friendships, developing our team on and off the court. There is a high cost involved with playing a sport - uniform rental, warm-ups, proper shoes, and travel. The cost to play is often overshadowed by the desire. By supporting this request, all of our athletes will be able to participate, removing cost barriers from individuals and the team, while allowing for the extra time for team bonding and relationship building.
