Headphones would enhance our blended learning experience by allowing me to incorporate Khan Academy and similar videos into self-guided lessons for students during "flipped classroom" days. These are days in which I teach half the class at the board, while the other half engages with the content on their own through a self-guided lesson I prepare. Then we switch. Currently, many of my students don't have headphones. So, a.) they hear me teaching at the board in the background while they are doing self-guided learning, which is distracting; and b.) they can't engage with video content because playing audio without headphones would distract other learners. A classroom set of headphones would solve both problems.
