If my project is fully funded, I will be purchasing a new class set of hand drums! Currently, the drums we have been using in class and in our new morning drum circle are 20+ years old. Every day I have something break from age, an unsafe tack or nail sticking out of a drum, or a students allergies acting up because of the excessive age of the drums. There are more students in my classes and in drum circle than there are safe drums for them to use! They need to be able to participate in class and drum circle without worrying about whether or not they will a) get a drum, and b) if the drum is safe to use.
