My students come from a low socioeconomic status and they are with several disabilities ranging from learning disabilities to autism. Technology is a huge source of educational knowledge that my classroom has yet to tap into. If we were able to obtain an iPad, students would be able to access thousands of educational apps. These new and exciting games would keep my children engaged and active in their own learning. I have two non-verbal students in my class and having an iPad would definitely help them to stay focused and learn. My students and I have used up a lot of the supplies I purchased at the beginning of the school year. As a first-year teacher, we need more classroom supplies to organize our room. We need books for our classroom library that would help my students to read, learn and explore the world. I also need a printer to print colorful pictures that would allow my students to complete matching activities.
