Children must have number sense to understand math. These materials will help develop that understanding by allowing the students to look at numbers in different ways. This allows them to be flexible in their thinking. The greater flexibility they have with numbers helps them understand how they work. This will enhance their understanding of the mathematical principals taught in my classroom. Number talks, which is a large part of this product, are so important to not only teach new processes but to gain an understanding of how my students think about numbers. This product will help me become a better teacher of mathematics!
