These books will be used for our English Language Arts lessons every week. The donations to this project will help to improve my students' understanding of grammar, vocabulary and comprehension. Books that are high interest for 2nd graders will make our lessons more exciting. The books relate to different themes explored throughout the year such as African American History, animals, holidays, fairy tales, biographies, sports, folk tales, and character building. Every week we have one book that is our mentor text. These books will be used to read aloud on Mondays and then all week they will be the basis of our lessons.
