I would like to have a ETA hand2mind Daily Math Fluency Kit with Number Strings for my math talk time. This is a time during the day where we we use mental math, math strategies, and partner talks to learn about math. The students enjoy this group time to explore math without the worry of making a mistake. I am using growth mindset during this time to help my students enjoy math without the fear of having a wrong answer. We celebrate having a wrong answer because when we correct the answer the entire class learns from a mistake. This fluency kit will be a great addition to this time of the day. My students will have a visual to go with their mental math thinking.Thank you for reading about this project.
