Do you want to help students understand the holidays? We reference them constantly, but the majority of my preschoolers have no idea what "Thanksgiving" means. My reading books such as Turkey Trouble, we can talk about turkeys at Thanksgiving. We can also talk about basic concepts such as farm animals. We can work on several language skills such as sequencing and answering /wh/ questions. The possibilities are endless! Having a Pete The Cat stuffed animal will help make story time interactive and engaging for the students. We can act out scenes from books and practice actions with Pete the Cat. Regarding the Old Lady Who Swallowed The Bat and Turkey, I have a fun activity with Velcro in which the kids can feed the old lady different items. Help me enrich my students' lives with the gift of reading and communication.
