Our school is growing from a middle school to a 6-12 school! We are building a brand new chemistry department from scratch. In order to create a rigorous chemistry learning experience for my students we first need to ensure their safety. Last year, I was not allowed to do any experiments with chemicals! I want to move beyond kitchen chemistry and start building a chemistry supply of chemicals and equipment. The first step is ensuring that our chemicals have a safe and secure place to be stored! Once we have a safe place to store chemicals, I can begin acquiring consumables to do demonstrations. I am especially excited to use these supplies for an ocean acidification investigation this year!
