In today's society books have been replaced with remote controls and game systems. Stories are being lost to that of the gaming world. Books, like Rebound, Brown Girl Dreaming, Scythe and Dog Man, will open doorways to all readers at many levels that I cannot provide. Children will have books at their fingertips that are current and engaging they can read anytime in class. Giving children an inspiration to read through amazing works, like Neal Shusterman, will encourage them to build their imagination and support their literacy in the educational environment. Formulating a love of reading is a top priority in my classroom.
