My students need markers, colored pencils, anchor and incentive charts, organizational bins, and graph paper (just to name a few!) to create enthusiasm and excitement for learning on a daily basis in math class My students need fun and engaging supplies for my 7th grade math class. This project will provide resources beyond paper and pencil, that will make my classroom "POP!" With the help of these resources, students will love to come to my classroom everyday because they'll know that it'll be a place that has the supplies they need and will be a warm and welcoming environment. Items like happy birthday pencils and certificates of achievement will increase the JOY in my class. Interactive math borders and a stool will make the physical environment of my classroom better. I plan on using the stool as a flexible seating option for my students who have attention problems. A meter stick and yard stick will make our measurement unit more tangible. Posters like the incentives poster will get students excited about their achievement. These are only a few of the many benefits that this project will have in my classroom.
