I am a fourth year Social Studies teacher at a charter school in Kent County Delaware. My students attend our school from various parts of the state because we work with such a diverse population. My students are caring, funny, and gifted. Many of my students come from difficult backgrounds and school is one of the only constants in their lives. I try to provide the most supportive and caring environment possible for them. I provide them a classroom with structure and routine while still encouraging their creativity and choice over their learning. We work on a growth mindset, where students understand that they can continue to grow and become lifelonglearners. The projects I post here are geared towards bettering my classroom so that I can benefit my students and their abilities to learn.
