Color Printer for Journalism Club My students need to be able to print in color to display photos of student scholars as well as to highlight major athletic moments/events throughout he school year. They need a wireless color printer. My Students My students want to prove that they are able to produce a quality school newspaper that is equally as good as other neighboring schools. Our students do not currently have a newspaper and are trying to promote pride in their school by making an awesome monthly publications for this year. Because of the lack of funds, printing photos/advertisements for the newspaper has been an issue. Our school is in an urban area in St. Louis, Missouri. 100% of the students qualify for free or reduced lunches. We have a high transfer/dropout rate. Our students often feel that their school isn't as "good" as those that are in the surrounding counties, but are unable to switch schools. I want to give our students a sense of pride and accomplishment. I want them to know that our school has just as many opportunities for them as any other school in the state. My Project The photo printer will be used to show students and staff the newspaper that the journalism club has created to prove that they are working hard and accomplishing their goals. The printer will help us create advertisements and capture memorable school moments. This will also give students a way to see their progress in a physical manner instead of an intangible one.
