These crafting materials will help me to successfully execute culturally based and informational projects with my students. For example students will be making calaveras for Dia de los Muertos, Ojos de Dios around Christmas time. Students will use the construction paper, markers, scissors, and glue to create projects and crafts that demonstrate their own creativity while also showing cultural components These supplies will help students express their creativity through various projects. The students in my district do not always have the means to purchase their own supplies for school, and this will ensure that all students have the same opportunity for self-expression. Oftentimes, students are so excited to show their work and be assessed in ways other than a test or quiz, with these materials, I can do just that.
