The materials and items I am requesting will greatly increase our learning and creativity in our kindergarten classroom! By having these new materials, my students will have endless opportunities to build, create, explore and generate numerous projects throughout the year. They will also have the opportunity to explore risk-taking with the objects that they build. The gears, magnets and other building components will let them freely explore and experiment with a variety of scientific properties. I plan to use these materials in both my free choice play areas and also in my Math and Science areas. The students will be given time to touch, construct and analyze different types of structures. I am also ordering items that can enhance some of the materials I already have in my classroom, like our wooden blocks and some of our other magnetic objects.
