For my project, I am requesting a Vernier Go Direct oxygen probe and carbon dioxide probe. There are many in-depth and engaging labs that can be done with this equipment that we are currently unable to perform. Students understand biological phenomena more when they are able to actually see and measure them in real time. These sensors will allow my students to measure the amounts of carbon dioxide and oxygen produced or consumed during respiration and photosynthesis. Usually, these concepts are merely discussed in class; I would like my students to have the equipment they need to run actual experiments.
