The seating that I am asking for will add to the comfort in our classroom as well as give the students flexibility in their seating choices. I have found that flexible seating options help the students focus and concentrate on their school work. With a class of struggling readers, this type of seating will give them the ability to move and fidget, yet still get their work completed. I have seen countless times, students who fidget and squirm will perform better in class if we allow them to be themselves and let them fidget and squirm instead of making them sit still. I know my students would greatly benefit from the new seating that I am requesting.
