In order to continue to meet the growing needs in our classroom, I am needing to update the seating next year. Our class size will be growing, and we will be serving 16 students with various acadmic, social and behavior needs. To best accommodate, our hope is to incorprate adaptive flexible seating for all students. Research as shown that flexible seating stimulate students' sense of touch which can help students to focus and process information. Flexible seating gives them a sense of choice and freedom while facilitating peer collaboration and opportunities to learn better. The products that I have selected will provide the students with various options to make more effective learning choices. I have seen first hand how choice can positively affect our students work and demeanor. I’m excited for the opportunity to the improve the classroom and learning experience for my students.
