In Computer Science class, we will be working on using technology appropriately, learning steps and processes to create artifacts, developing students' current computer skills to collaborate with peers, and making connections to meet post-secondary goals. At our C3 site, De La Salle Institute and the Anti-Cruelty Society, students will develop employability skills with the assistance of their teachers and staff at De La Salle. Our goal is to support students to become more independent in the community and work settings. In addition to developing skills to assist our students with finding gainful employment, we also focus on independent living skills. Some of the areas of focus are: initiating and maintaining appropriate conversations with peers and supervisors, completing daily hygiene routines, taking public transportation, and managing break times appropriately.
