Students will explore the physical and mechanical components of drones to learn how their forces work to allow for movement. Students will practice balanced and unbalanced forces to move the drones through an obstacle course successfully. Students will also use the drones in our unit of speed, velocity and acceleration. Students will demonstrate their abilities to fly the drone at predetermined speeds and velocities. Students will use the drones to collect data and calculate speed, velocity and acceleration as they move through an obstacle course. For our final project, students will work with our STEM teachers to design a scale model of an obstacle course using autoCAD software and they will build their designed challenge drone courses. Students will fly the drone through the obstacle courses that were created by their classmates.
