Tablets are ready to be incorporated into our classroom, as there are already several different tasks that can be completed with the use of a tablet. We rely on our technology to build our literacy skills through IStation, as well as, take AR Tests on books we have read. IStation allows students to improve their fluency, comprehension, vocabulary, and spelling. IStation also helps them to develop their general literacy abilities. In addition, IStation allows teachers to monitor and track their progress and goals. These Kindle Fires will help take the place of classroom computers so students can not only complete these tasks, but also be independent learners. Approved applications will be used during our daily centers, intervention and as a reward for a job well done.
