Every day we have a "relax and read" period in which the kids get to enjoy books they select. Some of my 8-year-olds love to read, but many are just starting to connect with books. It takes a lot of time to match their interests and reading levels with the correct book to keep them engaged and reading. These seats will allow them to relax around the room as they enjoy their books. With these chairs they can move out of their hard chairs, still have back support, be near a friend, and enjoy a book. The more effective reading time they have, the stronger readers they become.

About my class
