I would love to have some flexible seating options such as Kore Active Chair, also known as a wobble stool, and NeoLounge Chairs, which are low chairs. These are options I would like to provide them instead of just the basic chair. My students need the ability to move around the room and be comfortable. Having the use of Lakeshore Learning clipboards to hold their papers while they read, make observations and write will enable them to work smoothly and focus anywhere in their classroom that is most comfortable to them. They are durable and made for student use. When they have choices, my students are more likely to enjoy what they are doing. A lot of students dread sitting in chairs all day, but I try to allow mine to sit more comfortably. When they are comfortable they are able to focus better and achieve their goals faster. By allowing them to have flexibility in their seating, we are encouraging them to be themselves and work through their already difficult parts of their days. Some can sit all day while others have a hard time staying still, this will give them the opportunity to sit a variety of ways and not be a distraction to others and and be successful in their own lives.
