Mosaic Madness...students will learn how to create a beautiful mosaic from start to finish. They will come up with a design, make their tiles out of clay, glaze them the proper colors, learn how to cut the tiles, use small pieces of recycled glass, arrange the pieces on their frame, grout, and seal when finished. They can choose to make their design abstract or figurative. The mixture of tile and glass will add a dimensional look to the piece. The wooden frames are needed to provide a sturdy background to place the tiles and glass to. They will also be able to customize the wood with paint.
