I am a brand new teacher and am hoping to start literature circles in my classroom. The students in my classroom love to read, and these books would continue to foster that love. Using the books provided, students will be working on many of the vital skills related to English Language Arts. These skills include comprehension, fluency, retell quality, and academic vocabulary. I believe these literature circles will allow my students to look at literature in a new way. Not only will they be able to share their personal thoughts on a story, but they will be able to hear from the perspective of their classmates as well. Please help me bring literature circles to my classroom and my adorable 4th Graders!
