Doing these hands-on things allows the students to make connections easier than reading books and looking at pictures. The crayon melters will help us when we learn about solids and liquids and will let all students experience the melting in our class time. They will be used for multiple grades. With more materials, more students get the opportunity to explore on their own. The upper elementary students work on building parallel and series circuits and they will use the batteries and battery holders to make the circuits and explore electricity. Each student needs their own magnets when we explore attraction and repealing.
