This trip will give many of our students the opportunity to experience a live theater production of a novel they have read closely and studied in class. Viewing the musical will lead to enhanced knowledge of the plot, increased vocabulary, and the improved ability to read the emotions of others. We are an inner city school where one third of the population is eligible for government assistance. In a country where budget cuts limit the performing arts in public schools, this magical opportunity will allow students to interpret information presented in diverse media by bringing the characters in the book to life!

About my class
