I am hoping to get some more fidgets for my students that desperately need them. We have seen such great benefits when our kids get to use these tactile devices in behavior and academic success. My students will be able to learn coping strategies that they need and be able to regulate themselves more effectively. Giving kids fidgets and teaching them how to use fidgets is so vital to their learning. Often times I hear people feel that these are used as toys, but if they are used with fidelity they can truly support a students growth in their academics and social emotional growth. I always teach my students how to use the fidgets and then they tell me how the fidget is benefiting them at home and in the classroom. Connecting home and school and their regulation is so important and something I want to continue to utilize for them!
