Having access to technology is a major component in the learning process. Many of our children, especially our special education children, are not able to use the laptops because they lack the fine motor skills to maneuver the mouse. The use of technology in the classroom is at an all time high. Having access to tablets will ensure that my students get the chance to succeed in life. My school uses a program called i-ready which has been proven to increase learning and has had a major impact on our testing scores. The children are given i-ready homework, but sadly, not all of them have access to tablets or computers at home. Having these tablets will give all of my students the opportunity to use i-ready in the classroom as much as possible, especially if they are unable to access it at home.
