Reading is a lifelong skill that must be nurtured and developed at an early age. However, not all of my students have the opportunity or resources to establish themselves as strong readers. We are currently using Teachers College Reading Workshop in my classroom, however, it is not meeting the needs of my students. I would like to give my all of my students an opportunity to learn about new worlds and adventures that they could come across when reading a book. In order to open these doors to my students I make sure that they are able to read and understand the deeper meaning of a book. These books will be used to motivate and strengthen a reader's skill and love for reading.
