The comfy seating and mobile reading cart will give my students the opportunity to learn the skills for independent and small group reading/writing. The seats are adjustable and manageable for my 1st graders who have difficulty sitting in the traditional way of a chair or sitting on a hard floor crossing their legs. Many of them have poor muscle tone and gross motor skills, so these seats will encourage more core strength and comfort. My students struggle with writing and having a choice of a comfy seat will motivate them to grab their clipboard and write about their reading while sitting in their comfy seat. The leveled books on a cart will give me the flexibility to have the books accessible to my students in any area of the classroom.
