The use of Egyptian artifacts will allow my students to touch and feel objects replicated from Egypt, for example, the Rosetta stone will allow them to feel the writing from ancient times. Being able to hold the statues of the Gods will allow them to observe details not found in books alone. Being able to create "Egypt" in the classroom will create an exciting opportunity to explore, question and learn. The Egyptian themed toys will allow learning through imaginative play, teamwork, and problem-solving. Students will be challenged to build pyramids, mummies, tombs as well as learn to write their names in another language. They will learn how children lived during the Egyptian rule. With these tools, I will be able to create excitement around reading, writing, code breaking, problem solving and math.
