An iPad is a compact way for students to learn hundreds of different skills on their own time. One thing they can do is to communicate with individuals from all over the country, whether it's other classrooms or professionals they need to speak with. Students can learn to blog, which will make them more intentional about their communication than writing a report or an essay. If they are aware that real people (not just me) are reading their information, they will make sure they know the information, and they will learn skills to be able to collaborate with feedback groups. They can also use it when they develop their health fair for the younger students. They can show slide shows, videos, play a virtual game, or a number of other interactive activities.
