I am requesting books for my classroom. The books being requested are fiction and nonfiction. These books will impact my class because they are at levels that will push my third graders to be better readers. I am implementing a partner reading program that will pair a higher reader with a lower reader to increase their reading fluency which will in turn increase their comprehension. Reading will open the door to so many opportunities for these students! Many come from low income families and some are English Language Learners, so they don't have the resources needed to improve their literacy skills.
