A school without technology does not exist in this day and age. Students begin using computers long before they enter into the school systems. Students are constantly testing, typing, and reading on computers. The HP Chromebooks will allow my students the opportunity to practice for state testing, improve on typing skills, and have the ability to use websites that have more updated programs. The fact that most of our systems are antiquated, is a problem. Lots of times students are kicked out of tests, the computers begin to update in the middle of a test, or the computers simply shut down. Even though they try to be patient about this, it is frustrating for many of my students and causes them to lose precious instructional minutes. By having HP Chromebooks, students will be able to regain precious time and focus on their learning! By donating to our project, you will not only help to prepare students for state testing, you will ultimately help to increase their academic achievement while decreasing their frustrations. Students will be able to focus on technological resources, and not whether their materials are going to work. Plus in this technology literate world, any interaction with updated technology will increase their literacy as well as their desire to learn and use the new technology!
