The First Reader Class Library will help build my students reading level. Students will use it in small group rotations as guided reading books. They will start with the lower level books and move their way up the next levels. I will also allow students the opportunity to check out the books to read at home. I am confident that the books will help foster their love for reading. I plan to use the manipulatives to help students engage in academic discourse and build fine motor skills. Students will use The Build A Number House to do mathematics. This manipulative will be used as concrete examples to build their understanding of number concepts.
