My students are elementary age and love to come into the gym. I have found in my 20 years of teaching that music inspires them to move more and longer. This is very important with the high percentage of childhood obesity these days. I love to see their faces light up when exercising is presented in a fun energetic way. As soon as the music comes on they start wiggling. It helps them express themselves. As Victor Hugo put it , "music expresses that which cannot be put into words and cannot remain silent".
