I strive for my students to feel safe and comfortable when they enter our classroom. Giving the the option to be comfortable when in reading station will make them more interested and willing to get wrapped up in a good book. The seating will also serve as flexible seating when I am direct teaching and will really help my students that don't fit in the mold of a tradition classroom setting. I want to make my students readers for life, not just while they are in our classroom. I believe that with the correct environment these good reading habits will start now and continue with them wherever life takes them!
