Having the materials to start books clubs in our classroom will create a culture of readers and teach kids how to have real conversations about characters with whom they can relate. When you talk about a book with a friend, it makes the reading so much more exciting! The kids can take these books home to read and bring back to class. They can share them with parents and siblings. Book Club Meeting Days give them something to look forward to each week. I have requested different levels, so we can reach all readers. No one will be left out.
