These games will continue to enhance the math practices and collaboration I teach in my classroom. My classroom is fairly new and I do not have as many games for the amount of students I have. We have friendly competitions during unit reviews and the math games would enhance the material I teach. With these new games, my students will be able to enjoy playing while learning. My students will be able to not only build on their math skills but their communication and collaboration skills. Mancala helps with mental math skills. Games are also important aspect of brain development as they help acquire logical and reasoning skills, boost critical thinking and gain spatial reasoning. Playing board games helps with learning, social and communication skills as well.
