My students come with a wide range of reading levels and having graphic novels in my classroom would be a huge asset for improving my students reading skills, English proficiency and reading motivation. With access to graphic novels, they would be able to read for understanding, as well as use the illustrations to support their vocabulary knowledge. Graphic novels cater to multi-level readers which teachers always have regardless of the school or program they work for, and they are a good tool to use in the classroom because everybody can focus on and follow the same topic, unit, or story regardless of reading level.
