Having a functional iPad to use during our center time will make such a difference in our classroom. Our class is made up of 70% English Language Learners and students with an IEP. These students are constantly asking the meaning of unfamiliar words. They also ask to see visuals of things that we discuss in class. When we did our unit on Weather they wanted to see what the conditions are when there is a tornado or tsunami. They can easily refer to their iPad in their center to watch videos or see images of the things they frequently wonder about. Our goal is for every group to have an iPad to use when they are working on projects in the classroom. They can use these iPads to find information or to look up the definition of words that they do not know.
