Our students in the early college program participate in multiple college level classes at once. With technological advances in education, high school and college classes are shifting towards being run via online forums such as google classroom, blackboard, etc. Our early college classes are no exception. Many of our best and brightest are fighting to remain afloat in these classes, having used a laptop only a handful of times in their lives. Scholars in this early college group have been given laptops from our organization in the past, however that is not longer part of our budget. In order to continue their growth and stop the growing discrepancy of technological skills in urban and suburban communities, students like ours must be given the fair chance to progress with development of technological education. The development of communities like Harlem depend on investment in these individuals.
