Children learn best when they are active participants in the learning process. My students enjoy, reading, hands-on activities, and technology. My classroom is all about using a variety of fun activities to develop basic communication skills in a safe space with maximum support. Flexible seating options allow students to remain engaged and focused based on their individual needs. With the products I have chosen, students will be able to choose between balance balls, wobble chairs, bean bag chairs, and floor cushions. Wobble chairs and balance balls allow students to sit and focus without interrupting the learning of those around them. They also engage the core muscles to help students stay fit and healthy all year long. The beanbag chair allow students to get rid of the traditional classroom setting and work comfortably around the room. All of these options include the ability to work independently or as a whole group. This project will give them the chance to continuously move and actively stay engaged. Also, it will increase motivation, improve self-understanding, and by allowing each student to take charge of their own learning!
