These three seats will be used every day in our classroom. They will provide comfortable seating and a way to get those "wiggles" out. It will also allow students to be able to "partner up" when we are reading. I have seen the difference flexible seating options have made in my room already this year. With this seating, our classroom will become more about student control and less about teacher control which will help students focus more on reading. Many flexible seating options stimulate students’ sense of touch. Flexible seating helps with sensory input. This type of stimulation can help children focus and process information. Sensory input is also helpful for students with ADHD and ADD.
