Having an easel in my classroom will no doubt enhance my lessons and allow students to be engaged. I follow a district science application called "Stemscopes". Every time we start a new lesson/unit the students are to generate questions about an image displayed relating to the topic. The students develop questions on what they see and are introduced to the topics question phenomena. The students questions are then written they produce them. If the students have an easel positioned or moved around the room they are going to be responsive and engaged in the activity. In my population of students with learning differences they will benefit from having such an item in the areas of developing questions, analyzing, and more likely to share prior knowledge of the science content. With this tool to play a major role in my lessons I will not have to juggle between having the projector screen down with the image on it and minimal space to write student questions on the white board behind the screen.
