Over the first few months of school I have learned a lot about my new third grade learners. Many of my students are in constant motion, tipping (and often falling out of) their chairs, standing, pacing, bouncing, etc. throughout our learning time. Flexible seating will allow my learners to choose the way their brain will operate best on a day to day basis. We currently have some DIY flexible seating choices such as; crates, some old pillows, and deflated bean bags. These newer updated choices will allow even greater flexibility for my students to learn and grow in a way that best supports their individual needs.
