The use of play is a daily activity in my preschool classroom. Preschoolers learn by experiences and through dramatic play. While engaging in dramatic play preschoolers learn many skills such as social skills, vocabulary, using language and gaining control of their actions. I would like to enhance my dramatic play center by adding Lakeshore Career Costumes. My preschoolers could dress up as 10 different things such as a police officer, doctor, baker, fireman and a pilot. I also take my preschoolers on community field trips around our town throughout the year. For example we go to the fire station, police department and the grocery store. These costumes will also help make these field trips come to life for these preschoolers. By donating to this project you will not only be making learning more fun and inviting for my preschoolers but you will ultimately help to increase their academic performance as preschoolers learn through the use of play. I want my preschoolers ready to be successful when they enter Kindergarten. All donations will be gratefully appreciated.
