The Signing Time videos can help to change my students lives! They are kid focused, fun and engaging and have brought about a new level of excitement for my Deaf and non-verbal students! The Signing Time videos will be used not only in my special education classroom but also in the general education classroom! It is amazing to see hearing and speaking classmates learn and use sign language as a way to communicate with my students. These videos will be used every day as a way to increase communication skills with my significant needs students! Often times my student's disabilities can be very isolating, and a big portion of that is due to a lack of their ability to communicate. These videos will help to open up a whole new world of communication by increasing their vocabulary. As their teacher, I strive to help my students in all areas of their lives, and of the biggest areas is with communication. Without the ability to communicate, it is hard to function in today's society. I hope is that I can help my students obtain the foundational skills to begin to increase their communication ability. Thank you for any help that you can provide to increase the quality of life for my students!
