Standing desks provide students a place to properly channel their energy so they can focus on their work. These requested desks will give my students of all abilities more options for completing their assignments. My students love the option to move around the classroom and work independently or collaboratively! Sitting in a desk just does not work for every student in my classroom. 7th graders can be very energetic, especially when they have different needs, and standing desks help them focus more closely on their work. Classrooms need to provide students with choices so they can learn to take more responsibility for their own learning. I want to provide my students with more flexible seating options so they can feel comfortable while completing their work.
